Aruna's space

Dear Aruna We want to thank you so much for making our honeymoon the trip of a lifetime. We were a little nervous using a Honeymoon registry, as it was so new and different from anything anyone we know has ever done. From start to finish The Big Day made it so easy for us to reach our guests, to post about our honeymoon, and to organize the gifts we did receive.

Your online tips helped us to personalize the registry and we were able to get everyone attending the wedding really excited about buying us a piece of our trip. By booking our trip through you we were able to collect all those funds for the trip for free (!) and it was definitely the best deal of our whole wedding. The trip was made even more special for us because of the fact that it was purchased for us by all of our friends and family.

The trip itself was just a dream from start to finish. Aruna suggested Fiji’s Royal Davui Resort to us and it was just ten days of pure paradise. We began with a breathtaking helicopter ride over the mountains of Fiji, to arrive at the tiny remote island in Beqa lagoon. From there we enjoyed ten nights of sun, gourmet food, spectacular views, and amazing service. The resort was everything we hoped it would be, spectacular luxury and relaxation. The snorkeling was like none other we had ever seen. Since the island is located on a coral reef, we could literally step off the beach and see thousands of parrot fish, clown fish, sargent majors, and angel fish on spectacular coral heads. The staff was warm and friendly and after ten days we certainly felt like family. With only about ten or so other guests on the whole island we felt like we truly were on our own private getaway. It was just the place we were looking for – a spot to enjoy the beach, the sunsets and each other’s company.

Turtle Island is a wonderful place of tranquil delight to wind down from the busy world we all live in. It is a privately owned Island some 40mins flight from Nandi by seaplane and is an amazing destination for honeymooners or just a relaxing a holiday even with its flaws. There is space for 14 couples, the bures are very nice indeed particularly the Vonu Point some 500 metres from your nearest neighbour.

All meals and drinks are included with your stay, along with a number of other activities, like fishing, horse-back riding, bike riding, and various other fun activities.

The customer service at Turtle Island is second to none, so friendly and very helpful as the Fijian people generally are.

If you want that Island get away, it is certainly a worthwhile trip.

There are plenty of white sandy beaches and azure lagoons in the pacific-what really makes Turtle Island Resort special is the degree of privacy: With 14 separate powdery white sandy beaches, odds are that you can claim one for yourselves, and spend the day sunning, swimming, and picnicking blissfully alone at this all inclusive resort.

I have yet to visit Tahiti and stay at one of many resorts I booked for honeymoon couples. One of my favorites St Regis Bora Bora resort on the island of Bora Bora.  The Likuliku Lagoon Resort Fiji one of the first overwater bures in Fiji is stunning. We stayed here for few nights in September 2007.The JW Marriot is due to open in 2009.
